Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has recently issued an official notification on its website in respect of direct recruitment to the post of Junior Assistant across various departments of Uttar Pradesh Government. There as many as 1186 seats vacant for this post which needs to be filled with this recruitment. They are accepting applications from eligible candidates through online mode only for which they had posted a link on their website, which has been activated on 26th June and would close on 20th July 2019.
The last date to make any changes in the online application form is 27th of July after which no changes will be entertained. The candidates applying for the post have to pay a sum of money through online mode as application fees for successful submission of their registration form, which is stated below-
- For General and OBC Category Candidates- Rs. 185/-
- For SC/ST Category Candidates- Rs. 95/-
- For PH Candidates- Rs. 25/-

UPSSSC Recruitment 2019 Eligibility Criteria
All the candidates who desire to get selected for the post must meet all the following eligibility criteria, failing which may result in straight rejection of the application form.
- Educational Qualification:
A candidate must be at least Intermediate pass out or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
He must hold a CCC Certificate from a DOEACC Society.
- Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 18 years or above and a maximum of 40
- Others: He must have a typing speed of 25 WPM in Hindi and 30 WPM in English
UPSSSC Recruitment 2019 Selection Procedure
The selection procedure for the UPSSSC recruitment consists of three rounds, which are a typing test, written test and lastly a personal interview round. All the rounds are qualifying in nature and those who clear in all the rounds will be selected for the Junior Assistant’s post.
UPSSSC Recruitment 2019 Exam Date
As of now, the UPSSSC has not yet decided or fixed any particular date neither for the written test nor for the typing test. They have said that once they are over with the online application process, then they would decide and fix the dates for the tests. Till then it is advisable to keep a track on its official website for updates in this regard.
UPSSSC Recruitment Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The written examination for the J.A. Post will be an objective type exam with multiple choice questions, which has a time duration of 60 minutes only. The examination will be conducted either online or offline mode. The question paper will have 80 questions divided into 3 sections for which the total marks allotted is 40.
The subjects/sections on which the candidates will be tested in the written examination are-
- Hindi Insight 7 Writing Ability-This section will consist of 40 questions of total 20 marks.
- General Intelligence Test- This section will comprise of 20 questions of total 10 marks.
- General Knowledge- This section will have 20 questions of total 10 marks.
The typing test will be conducted online on any typing test application, where the candidates would have to type a passage within a fixed period of time (usually 1 or 2 minutes). The accuracy and the word limit per minute must match with that mentioned in the eligibility criteria to qualify for the last round of selection.

The candidates must solve past years UPSSSC examination papers and appear in as many mock papers as they can to check where their preparation stands.
