TN TRB PG Recruitment 2019:The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) of the Government of Tamil Nadu is inviting online applications from the eligible candidates for direct recruitment for the post of Post Graduate Assistants/Physical Education Directors Grade-I in School Education and other Departments.as Per the official notification, the Board has 2144 vacant posts to be filled for which they have posted the TN TRB Recruitment 2019 online application form link on their official website trb.tn.nic.in, which will be activated on 24th June 2019 and would end on 15th July 2019 sharp at 05:00 pm.
The candidates belonging to General or UR Category have to pay Rs. 500 and those belonging to the Reserved Categories like SC/ST/SCA/PH have to pay Rs 250 online as application fees for successful submission of their application form. Let’s now know more about the TRB recruitment process which includes the eligibility criteria, selection examination and syllabus for the same.
TN TRB PG Recruitment Assistant Eligibility Criteria
All the candidates aspiring to be selected for the posts must meet all the eligibility criteria stipulated by the TRB in respect of the posts which are as follows-
A.) For Post Graduate Assistants Post
- The candidate must hold a PostGraduate Degree with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University, and
Must also hold a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) Degree from the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) recognized Institution;
- Must Hold a Postgraduate Degree or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University, and
A B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. Degree from an NCTE recognized Institution.
B.) For Physical Education Directors Grade-I Post
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or a Bachelor in Physical Education (BPE) or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education,
- A Degree in Sports with a minimum 55% marks as per the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) Roles in this regard, And
- A M.P.Ed.Degree of at least two years duration from any NCTE recognized Institution is a must.
ii.) Age Limit
The upper age limit fixed by the Board is 57 years as on 01/07/2019 because the age of superannuation is kept as 58 years.
TN TRB PG Recruitment Selection Process
The selection for the two TRB posts will be on the basis of two rounds which are,
- A Computer Based Examination, and
- Certificate Verification.
The last round will be only for those candidates who will clear the examination round by securing the cut off marks determined by the Board in this regard.
TN TRB PG Examination Date
As of now the computer based selection examination date, time and center are not yet decided and fixed by the Board.They have said that once the online application window is closed, then they would release notification on the date, time and center of the examination. Till then, it is advised to keep a close track on the Board’s official website trb.tn.nic.in for an update in this context.
Tamil Nadu TRB Examination Pattern and Syllabus
The computer based examination will have an objective based examination which will have multiple choice questions. The exam will be of 3 hours duration with 150 questions, each question carrying one mark which brings the total to 150 marks.
The syllabus for the examination is divided into three subjects, which are as follows-
Main/Academic Subjects-Subjects included here are Biochemistry, Indian Culture, Micro Biology, Home Science and Physical Education. This section will have 110 questions.
Educational Methodology-Subjects included in this section are those excluding Bio-Chemistry, Indian Culture, Microbiology, and Home Science. This section will have 30 questions on respective Languages.
General Knowledge-This section will comprise of total 10 questions on either English/Hindi/Any Regional Languages.
The candidates should on a frequent basis visit the official website of TRB to stay updated in this regard. Candidates are even advised to solve as many past years papers and mock test papers as they can to determine their level of preparations. So, “Do your best, Give your best and Take your best.”
