HSSC Constable SI Recruitment 2019: Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is inviting online application for recruitment to the post of Constable and Sub-Inspector, which has an overall Haryana police vacancy 2019 of 6400 posts. The online application link has been posted on the HSSC official website HSSC Constable SI Recruitment 2019, which is active since 12th June and is nearing its closing date 26th June 2019 till 11:59 pm. HSSC Constable SI Recruitment 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to fulfill all the following eligibility criteria to get shortlisted for other qualifying rounds for the posts.

1.)Educational Qualification:

a.)Category 1 & 2 i.e. Male and Female Constables (General Duty)-

Must be at least 12th standard or its equivalent passed from a recognized Board.
Should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects up to Metric or Higher Secondary.
Male candidates under General Category must have 170 centimeter Height and 83 centimeters (un-expanded) to 87 centimeters (expanded) Chest with a minimum expansion of 04 centimeters.

And, those under eligible Reserve Categories must have 168 centimeter Height and 81 Centimeter (Un-expanded) to 85 centimeters (expanded) Chest with a minimum expansion of 04 centimeters.
General Category Female candidates must have 158 centimeters Height and those under eligible Reserved Categories must have 156 centimeters

b.)Category 3 i.e. Sub-Inspector (Male)-

Must be a Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects up to Metric or Higher Secondary.
Male candidates under General Category must have 170 centimeter Height and 83-centimeter un-expanded Chest with a minimum expansion of 04 centimeters (onward). And, those under eligible Reserve Categories must have 168 centimeter Height and 81 Centimeter un-expanded Chest with a minimum expansion of 04 centimeters (onward).

2.)Age Limit:

For applicants applying for Constable (General Duty) post must fall between 18 to 25 years of age as on 01/06/2019.
And, applicants applying for Sub-Inspector post must fall between 21-27 years of age as on 01/06/2019.

Haryana Constable,SI Recruitment Examination Date & Pattern

The examination will be either Online (CBT) mode or OMR based, which is likely to be conducted from 13/07/2019 to 18/08/2019. The actual date, time and center of the examination will be available once the admit card is released.

The examination is divided into 3 stages, which are-

  1. Knowledge Test: Initially, the Knowledge test will be the first elimination round. Here the candidates will sit for a 80 marks objective type, multiple choice questions. The question paper will have 100 questions with each question carrying 0.80 marks, which needs to be completed in 90 minutes of time.
  2. Physical Screening Test (PST): Candidates passing the Knowledge Test will appear for the PST exam. Male candidates have to undergo a 2.5 kms.Test distance which needs to be completed in 12 minutes of time. The female candidates must finish the 1.0 km. Test distance within the qualifying time of 6 minutes and the Ex-Serviceman must finish the 1.0 km. Test distance within the qualifying time of 5 minutes.
  3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Those applicants clearing the PST round have to undergo a Physical Measurement Test as per the standards prescribed in Appendix-B of Haryana Police (Non-Gazetted & Other ranks) Service Rules, 2017 which is amended from time to time.

HSSC Haryana Police Recruitment 2019 Examination Syllabus

The knowledge test will the candidate’s knowledge of the following subjects-

  1. General Studies,
  2. General Science,
  3. General Reasoning,
  4. Current Affairs,
  5. Mental Aptitude,
  6. Numerical Ability,
  7. Agriculture,
  8. Animal Husbandry,
  9. Other relevant fields/trades etc.

Out of the 100 questions, at least 10 questions will be to test the candidate’s basic knowledge of computer.

The applicants are advised to solve as many past year papers and mock test papers as they can so that they can have a reality check of their preparations and realize how much more effort they need to put in before going live on the day of examination.
